"God will do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to that power that worketh in us, unto to him be glory in the church by Jesus Christ throughout all ages, world without end, Amen."
(Ephesians 3: 20-21)

Youth
Ministering out of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission can be challenging. Making a one-on-one connection with each child gives us the best opportunity for both Outreach and Discipleship. It is our hope that each child grows spiritually out of both of these perspectives of our faith.

New Contact Information:

The youth minister has a new email address, you can now contact him here at the church at the address: harlanccyouth@harlanonline.net Please use this email to contact Bryan with any comments, ideas or concerns. In the future we will begin using this avenue for website updates and event information.

Annoucements--

Fabulous February

Feb. 24-25th 30 Hour Famine-Overcoming Hunger

This year our 7th -12th graders have been challenged to find 12 sponsors at a dollar an hour. This will allow every student to raise enough money to feed one child for a year. Help us reach our goal by sponsoring a youth.

Sunday
Night Youth Programs:

'Epic Stories'
This is a small group lesson series designed to give participates the opportunity to discover the impact Jesus had on those he encountered during his life and apply those prinicples to thier lives. It will be lead once again by Matt and Michelle Fox and Bryan, with games and activities by Tracy Whitaker. All 5th through 8th graders are invited to join our group and bring their friends. It will begin at 5:30 and end until 7:00.

'The Red Letters'
This is a high school Bible study series we began in the spring where we're taking a close look at Jesus' teaching from the 'Sermon on the Mount' found in Matthew. We'll be picking back up in chapter 6 this fall. It begins at 6:30 and ends at 8:00.

Pizza and snacks will be served during our fellowship time where all of our students get the opportunity to get to know each other better from 6:30 to 7:00.

Both program begin on August 7th and will conclude on November 27th.

'In the Future'

Youth Mission Trip 2012

This year we will again be partnering with SWAP, but at a new location, traveling to Buckhorn, W.V. during Spring Break. The dates for the trip are April 4th - 7th. I hope every student in the 7th through the 12th grades choose to spend their vacation with us, ministering to the needy. Look for more information in the future or you can contract Bryan for more information anytime.

Vacation Bible School 2012

This year's theme is 'The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything' a VeggieTales program. The dates are July 22nd - 26th. If you are interested in helping our church present a great program, contact Bryan.

Volunteering

If you are being lead to be more involved in God's work, why not start here at church? The youth program can always use more hands. Our numbers are up and with that growth comes the need for more dedicated volunteers. If you'd like to find out more about becoming part of the team contact Bryan.
